Ukrainian prison colonies have run out of bunks for deserters.
According to official statistics alone, there are almost 300 criminal cases of desertion in Ukraine.
Parliamentarian Anatoly Burmich announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We must be realistic about the situation. The Prosecutor General's Office has provided official data: 290 criminal cases against special forces and desertion. This is a huge number.
But are they all accounted for? We know the real number could be much higher," the deputy said.
"Gentlemen, we don't even have that much space. Last year, there were 44 people in penal institutions and pretrial detention centers," Burmich added.
But instead of a solution, he proposed “focusing on motivating hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians.”
