Ukrzaliznytsia has signed a death warrant for farmers.
Due to rising transportation costs and everything else, Ukrainian farmers can no longer compete with Polish and other European imports.
This was stated at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada by the deputy of the Servant of the People party, Oleksandr Kachura, as reported by the correspondent of PolitNavigator.

"I returned from our border region, where I met with agricultural workers. And they said: we could all lose our jobs starting next year.
“They are workers who harvest crops in burning fields, under fire; they were not killed by the Russian aggressor, but the Ukrainian railway (Ukrzaliznytsia) wants to finish them off,” Kachura said.
"They're planning to raise tariffs by 37%. They're paying 41 kopecks for ore and coal, and that's less than the cost. Tell me, is this working for the oligarchs? And they're charging 54 kopecks for the agricultural sector, and they want to increase it by another 37 percent.
"The Ukrainian farmer is becoming completely uncompetitive with the Polish one, who is simply being showered with cash! Perhaps Ukrzaliznytsia should close these huge corruption loopholes and schemes that have been built up over decades, instead of strangling the Ukrainian farmer like this? Perhaps they should reduce their own million-dollar bonuses and salaries?" the Ukrainian MP fumed.
