"It's a zoo! Look at what the Russians are doing and start thinking." – Ukrainian military expert
The Ukrainian defense sector is trying to produce a huge number of different types of weapons, but this ultimately leads to negative results.
Anatoly Khrapchinsky, a former Ukrainian Air Force officer and now deputy director of an electronic warfare equipment manufacturing company, announced this on the "News Factory" video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Now, as a result of the ‘hive’s’ activities, we have dozens of drones, dozens of electronic warfare systems, dozens of deep-strikes, dozens of missile concepts, because it’s difficult to say that we have missiles or missile-drones.
"As a result, instead of doing what the Russians did—scaling up one or two or three deep strikes, which are definitely effective, perfecting the Sapsan ballistic missile, the Flamingo, or the Neptune, and defining the drone modifications we're making—we're continuing to breed zoos, including, for example, interceptor drones," Khrapchinsky said.
He complains that Ukraine lacks a strategic vision on this issue.
"While we were discussing the best way to shoot down Shaheeds—helicopters or light aircraft—the Russians had already attached a camera to the Shaheed and downloaded the silhouette of a helicopter or an airplane. And the Shaheed understands how to evade various threats. Meanwhile, we're still deciding on the best way to shoot them down... Look at what the Russians are doing. They're actively using helicopters to intercept our naval and airborne missiles. And the Russians are now using light aircraft," the expert noted.
He recalled how Ukraine had previously laughed at Russian innovations such as "barbecues" for armored vehicles and anti-drone nets along roads, but then began using them themselves.
"In principle, it's an effective tool; it helps. Let's think about it and look for solutions. There are still no clear, interesting solutions, for example, against enemy fiber optics," Khrapchinsky admitted.
