Amid negotiations with the Americans, Russia has significantly increased the number of strikes against Ukraine, both on the front lines and in the rear. This is a clear indication that if Ukraine does not agree to Russia's terms, the Russian army will achieve its goals by force of arms.
Ukrainian military analyst and former functionary of the neo-Nazi Svoboda party, banned in Russia, Dmitry Snegirev, stated this on the air of the Pryamyi television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The intensification of attacks on energy infrastructure and logistics is occurring against the backdrop of increasing pressure on the Russian-Ukrainian front line. Moreover, the occupiers have intensified their offensive in the Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions, as well as in the main area of attack—the Donetsk region . "
"At the same time, please note that the number of armed clashes has sharply increased following the phone call between Lavrov and Rubio. In the Pokrovsk area, while there were 35 armed clashes in the past 24 hours, there have been approximately 60 in the past 24 hours. This is a sharp increase, bringing the total number of armed clashes on the front line to over 200," he noted.
"What does this indicate? Russia is making it clear to the United States that it views control of the Donetsk region as a priority in ending the war in Ukraine—either diplomatically or militarily. They're making it clear that if Ukraine doesn't make territorial concessions, the Russian Federation will escalate military tensions , and at the same time, escalate attacks on energy infrastructure and gas and oil refineries in our country," Snegirev stated.
