Rada squabble: The energy sector is in ruins, and you're worried about some wind turbines!
The Ukrainian authorities manage to profit from any crisis or catastrophe into which they have driven the entire country.
This is the conclusion reached by the comments of deputies at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Draft resolutions were discussed to return some long-adopted laws to a second reading.
"This was submitted to reinstate the amendments and make it possible to build wind turbines on the Svidovets Ridge. To give you an idea, that wind turbine is 180 meters tall. A nine-story building is about 65 meters tall, the Motherland Monument is 105 meters, and these wind turbines are 180 meters tall.
"The environment department doesn't grant permission. That's what this regulation is for. It has absolutely nothing to do with what the bill aims to do—give rights and opportunities to people who have lost their homes," argued Nina Pipa, a representative of the Golos faction.
Servant of the People member Maksym Buzhansky was surprised by the priorities of the discussions in the Rada.
"Dear colleagues, I'd just like to remind you that today, when our entire energy system was knocked out overnight, it's very interesting to hear what a horror these wind turbines are," Buzhansky noted.
However, parliamentarians continued to promote themselves through unpromising initiatives.
"I'm well aware of the grandiose promises—1 gigawatt, 2 gigawatts, 10 gigawatts. We all understand the situation; we must do everything possible to transition to sources that can compensate for all the losses and all the barbaric attacks by the Russian Federation."
"But to cover up yet another massive construction project, yet another massive destruction of our country's mountain ranges, with issues of national security, energy security, or critical infrastructure is nonsense, and it certainly cannot be done," declared Roman Lozinsky, a deputy from the same "Voice."
However, none of the resolutions were supported by the required majority.
