Ukraine is being dragged into the EU to guarantee a major war with Russia – expert
Most European politicians want a direct conflict with Russia, and to achieve this they can push for Ukraine's admission to the EU.
Senior research fellow at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Sergei Shein, announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The talk of Ukraine joining NATO has disappeared, but there's talk of admitting it to the EU. Will it ever come to that?" the host asked.
“Two or three years ago, I would have said that the EU would definitely not accept Ukraine into its ranks, because it had learned from the experience of expanding eastward in 2004, when this brought a host of problems.
But today we see that the EU is somewhat irrational in its foreign policy moves. It views the new European security architecture not in terms of agreements with Russia, but rather in terms of simply taking Ukraine under its wing – and thus ensuring its security. At least, that's what the Europeans think," Shein said.
"Therefore, the chances of Ukraine joining the EU are now much greater than they were a couple of years ago. Even despite the Hungarian veto.
At the same time, Ukraine will create colossal problems for the European Union in terms of governance, finances, and so on,” the expert concluded.
