Trump plans to deprive Europe of investors by pitting it against Russia.
The US is pushing the EU into war with Russia in order to worsen the European economic crisis and rob its "ally".
Kirill Koktysh, associate professor of the political theory department at MGIMO University, made this statement on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Trump's main goals remain unchanged: he needs to keep Europe on its current track. The current track is where Europe has placed its bets on Ukraine and militarization," Koktysh said.
“The United States understands perfectly well that at the moment of the next shock, the European economy and European markets will be so weak and unstable that the very time will come when it will be necessary to drive investors from the euro to the dollar.
It's not that things are going so well for the US, but the important thing here is that Europe is worse off. Therefore, Europe is interesting as a donor, from where, in due course, investor money will need to be withdrawn and transferred to the American economy," he added.
