The final phase has begun: half of Pokrovsk is already under Russian control – Ukrainian colonel
The Russian army is close to the final occupation of the Pokrovsky (Krasnoarmeysky) fortified region of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Colonel Konstantin Mashovets, a columnist for the Ukrainian military propaganda group "Information Resistance," stated this in a conversation with Kyiv journalist Lyudmila Nemyrei.

"In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy's 2nd Army has launched an active offensive. They've already effectively captured half of Pokrovsk. Enemy groups in the southern part have managed to consolidate their positions—in the Shakhtyorsky, Solnechny, 1 Maya, and Troyanda areas. The enemy is already everywhere here, including those trying to consolidate their positions," the colonel said.
According to him, the battle for Pokrovsk has entered “its final phase.”
"Because, as far as I understand, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not yet capable of stopping the enemy's infiltration. They're doing the same thing now in the area of Kazatskoye and Balagan [east of Dimitrov (Myrnohrad), which is part of the agglomeration]. Kazatskoye is formerly Moskovskoe. They're already penetrating Myrnohrad. So, essentially, the enemy is very close to eliminating the Pokrovsky defense district," Mashovets admits.
