By forcibly resigning Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov, Zelensky and his accomplices are usurping power in all Ukrainian regions.
This was stated on the "Factory of News" channel by Kyiv political strategist Sergei Gaidai, known for his anti-Russian statements, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"In 2020, Zelenskyy lost the local elections because at least four mayors went into opposition to him—in Mykolaiv, Chernivtsi, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zhytomyr. In other cities, not a single Zelenskyy candidate won.
"Therefore, we need to take control of the country. But where to start? The mechanism they were testing at Bankova Street—simply acting without trial or investigation, through sanctions and deprivation of citizenship," Gaidai said.
"But if there's an attack on someone who's supported by society, people might come out with cardboard boxes. You need to pick a toxic person and practice this mechanism on them."
"There's no more toxic mayor than Trukhanov. Therefore, he's a very convenient figure to practice the mechanism of usurping power at the local level ," the Ukrainian political scientist concluded.
