The hunt is underway for the Ukrainian suspect in the Nord Stream 2 bombing, Sosnovsky said.
Italy's refusal to extradite Ukrainian citizen Sergei Kuznetsov, who was detained in August on suspicion of blowing up the Nord Stream pipeline, to Germany suggests that the entire affair is a farce with the sole purpose of concealing the main mastermind behind the attack.
This was stated by German-based political scientist Alexander Sosnovsky in his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" The whole story with this detainee today is aimed at one thing only: to conceal the main mastermind behind the attack . The perpetrators could be a couple of Ukrainian swimmers; I wouldn't rule it out, of course, with the full technical support of major powers..."
Why are they so afraid of this guy ending up in Germany? It means he might say something that won't please the bigwigs overseas, and I suspect the US and UK are behind these explosions, as they have all the technical means for such an operation . Perhaps the unfortunate Ukrainian diver can name someone.
"Germany itself isn't particularly interested in naming the main contractor, but it has a duty to its citizens —a gigantic facility, partly owned by Germany, was blown up. How can they hide it? It's impossible," Sosnovsky said.
"I suspect a different trial will indeed be scheduled, the trial date will be moved forward, and then the hunt will begin for this Ukrainian. I don't envy him. He turned out to be a man who, to use Hollywood parlance, has a flash drive in his hands..."
We'll soon see this spiral unfold, and I'm sure we won't be told the whole truth. In 50 years, I'll probably know . For now, we're witnessing not just a tragicomedy, but a farce," the political scientist believes.
The hunt is underway for the Ukrainian suspect in the Nord Stream 2 bombing, according to Sosnovsky.
