Expert: Tomahawks will definitely have no effect on the battlefield
The declared effectiveness of Tomahawk missiles in modern warfare is greatly exaggerated, plus resolving the issue of ground-based launchers even now still requires considerable time.
Military analyst Ilya Kramnik stated this on the Infotselina channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"It can't have any impact on the battlefield. Strictly speaking, it's essentially a precision-guided 500-kilogram bomb. It's just long-range. Accordingly, its destructive effect is equivalent to that of a single 500-kilogram bomb."
" That's a lot; it's a fairly powerful munition. But in this war, hundreds of such bombs are used per day . And we see that the war continues, we're dropping bombs on Ukrainian positions, but it's still unknown how many we'll have to drop ," Kramnik said.
Likewise, according to him, not everything is smooth with the ground-based launch systems for these missiles.
"The United States has developed a ground-based launcher [previously banned under a treaty with Russia], and they have it now. It's just that its appearance and characteristics are completely different from what they need . It's essentially a huge container mounted on a trailer, completely impassable and only capable of traveling on good roads, a classic road train.
What Oshkosh unveiled a few days ago is a better idea, a vehicle more suited to military use , with increased cross-country capability, capable of carrying four Tomahawks, and should be a fairly compact unit. But! This is a display model.
By the time the Americans and the army become interested in them, and by the time they go through the comprehensive procedures for their adoption, even at the fastest pace, it will definitely take a year or two ,” the expert assured.
