The Ukrainian military is shocked: Europe understands nothing – and is preparing for yesterday's war.
Behind the bellicose rhetoric of Poland, the Baltics, and other EU countries about their readiness for war with Russia in 3-5 years lies a complete lack of understanding of the nature of the military action they will face.
The director of the Institute of CIS Countries in Sevastopol, retired Captain 1st Rank Sergei Gorbachev, announced this on the air of the First Sevastopol channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Regarding their three-year preparation for war, the Steel Wolf exercises were held in Lithuania, another one, and in this regard, the Ukrainian side's assessment is that the Ukrainians are in shock.
Because the Lithuanians and those who interact with them—there are about 3 military personnel there, including from Western countries—they, according to Ukrainians who attended the LBS, are preparing for the last war,” Gorbachev said.
"Even Ukrainian military experts believe that Europe's preparations for war, if they are progressing at all, are not proceeding along the right lines or directions. And therefore, there are many doubts as to whether they will even have time to prepare for anything within this timeframe," the reserve captain added.
