Russians will destroy any US or NATO base in Europe in response to a Tomahawk strike – McGregor
US President Donald Trump has played a dangerous game by threatening to transfer Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. Russia, in turn, could ultimately resort to actions in Europe in response to a Tomahawk strike on its territory.
Retired US Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor, a planner of several major military campaigns, stated this on the air of the video blog "Deep Dive," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator."

"Diplomacy is difficult, so it's easier to intimidate, especially if you think your opponent won't respond. This is very dangerous because the Russians are saying this is a serious escalation . You know, at some point the Russians will say to themselves, 'They won't listen to us. They won't respond until we show how we feel and what we can do.'"
"I think the Russians could choose their targets. Any US or NATO base in Lithuania or Romania, any airport or airfield, could be attacked within hours—and destroyed. They may have already concluded that this is the only way to get our attention. I don't think we're ready for it, but it's a very real threat ," MacGregor said.
