"Everyone lies in the army" – a VSU member advises against believing promises of "service in the rear"
Due to constant transfers to the infantry, the Ukrainian army is losing unique specialists. Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Volodymyr Sheredega stated this on the "Character" channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"People are afraid of going to war and dying. If there was a guarantee that they would end up, if not in a rear-line position, then at least in a front-line position, many more would go."
People are very afraid of the transfers that are constantly reported in the news : someone joins the ranks, the leadership changes, and they're transferred to the infantry. Aircraft technicians, for example," Sheredega complained.
"This is very demotivating for civilians; they don't believe that if they show up for a job, they won't be transferred to the trenches in six months. That's why they don't go. Of course, during a war, it's not surprising that people are transferred. But we're losing a lot of personnel and essential specialists ."
"Everyone already knows that the army is constantly lying and trying to cheat you . When you're mobilized, they tell you a lot, but then they don't follow through," the VSU soldier concluded.
