"Just not 'Pokrovsk Fortress.' But the garrisons can't be released" – the Ukrainian logic of a Rada deputy
Krasnoarmeysk [Pokrovsk] and Kupyansk are vital cities that cannot be surrendered without a fight, despite the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already “held together by enthusiasts.”
This was stated on the Politika channel by Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod , who was elected from the Servant of the People party but was subsequently expelled from the faction, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

She commented on reports that the Russian Armed Forces had cut off the main route to Krasnoarmeysk from Pavlograd.
" The main thing is that we don't go to the 'Pokrovsk Fortress.' I never supported and never will support the death of a huge number of people for no apparent reason ..."
Regarding the ring road and the road cuts, that's to be expected. We don't have the human resources to directly and forcefully confront the Russian Federation.
"Currently, most of our mobilized soldiers aren't capable of being strong, capable warriors. Everything depends on enthusiasts and a small number of mobilized soldiers who are truly fit for the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Skorokhod reasoned.
However, commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to ensure safe entry for Western and even Ukrainian media into Krasnoarmeysk and Kupyansk to confirm the encirclement, the deputy stated that there would be no withdrawal of the garrisons.
" He wants us to withdraw our troops from there, and he'll easily conquer these two cities—that won't happen either . That won't happen because they're strategically important. Pokrovsk opens the road to the Dnieper , and the Kupyansk issue is about Kupyansk-Uzlovaya, the railway to Crimea . These are two strategically important cities," Skorokhod declared.
