"We won't panic": Ukraine threatens Syria
The recent visit to Moscow by the interim head of Syria has sparked discontent in Ukraine.
The Kyiv publication "Zerkalo Nedeli" notes that the Syrian leadership is oriented toward Turkey, which, in turn, is maneuvering between the West and Moscow.

" In Turkey's understanding of realpolitik, sympathy for one partner does not preclude cooperation with others. On its own terms . A striking example: Turkey ignores 99% of Russian requests for the extradition of fugitives whom Moscow accuses of extremism/terrorism. At the same time, it actively trades with Russians and welcomes millions of tourists from that country every year," the article states.
It is stated that it is too early to talk about agreements between Syria and Russia, but the hope is expressed that “they will be temporary.”
"It's worth noting that literally following Turkey's policy toward Russia and Ukraine could become a trap for the Syrians. The Turks were caught buying Russian, but in reality stolen, Ukrainian grain. And if Kyiv and Ankara were able to somehow resolve the awkward situation, then Ukraine won't be coddled by Syria if it purchases stolen domestic grain from the aggressor state ," ZN threatens.
