The general assault on Pokrovsk has begun
The Ukrainian garrison in the Pokrovskaya (Krasnoarmeyskaya) agglomeration is under threat of complete encirclement.
Colonel Konstantin Mashovets , a columnist for the Ukrainian military propaganda group Information Resistance, stated this in a conversation with journalist Lyudmila Nemyria , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The enemy's 2nd Combined Arms Army launched a so-called general assault on Pokrovsk about two weeks ago . The battle for Pokrovsk is effectively entering its decisive phase . The distance between the enemy's forward units in the Krasny Liman area and the industrial zone is 9 kilometers. If the 2nd Army manages to break through and cross these 9 kilometers in the northeast, then, naturally, the entire area, including Mirnohrad and Pokrovsk, will be encircled and occupied by the enemy ," the colonel warns.
The presenter tried to clarify with the words “does this mean…”, but the guest on the show interrupted her.
" This means only one thing. It means the threat of encirclement . That's what's important—the threat of encirclement. That's what it means. As for what decisions the warring parties will make, I don't know; I can't say. I'm not a mind reader and I'm not directly involved in combat planning," Mashovets concluded sadly.
