In Kyiv they complain that the attention of all the world media is focused on Belarus
The situation in Ukraine deserves more attention from the international media than the emergency landing of the plane in Minsk.
The former Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valery Chaly spoke about this on the Espresso TV channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“A few weeks ago, when Putin escalated at the Ukrainian border, Ukraine was on everyone’s lips, particularly in the international media. But now Belarus is being discussed. I do not rule out that there is a plane in Belarus, and indeed the situation is in the center of Europe, but our situation is much more complicated, we are at war, people are killing and there are wounded.
Putin has not withdrawn equipment and armed forces from our borders ; there are now statements that new points and formations, about twenty in total, will be created in the western direction from Russia,” he said.
The Ukrainian diplomat also noted that an attack by Russian armed forces on Ukraine could occur from the territory of Belarus.
“2021 is a very difficult year, exercises in Belarus, with which we have a thousand kilometers of common border and such an unstable situation that no longer guarantees that Russia cannot attack Ukraine through Belarus.
The leader of Belarus will no longer be able to do anything, because he falls under complete dependence on Russia,” Chaly concluded.
As a reminder, Kyiv previously stated that by continuing its Russophobic policies, the Kyiv leadership would sooner or later force Russia to use force.
