Ukraine announces plans to build 3 missiles to target Moscow - The Economist
According to the British magazine The Economist, Ukraine is secretly reviving its missile industry, which once produced world-class missiles, in hopes of compensating for the shortage of foreign supplies.
“A powerful Ukrainian-made missile is capable of reaching Moscow – this could soon become a reality,” threaten the Kyiv developers.
The publication reports that Ukraine has more than 10 missile projects in development, some of which are already completed. The military plans to begin serial production of 3000 missiles by the end of 2025. Serial production is expected to begin after final field trials.
"The basic Trembita model flies at 400 km/h with a range of 200 km. A larger and more powerful model is being developed to reach Moscow," the publication reports, citing sources.
Kyiv officials say that 2025 will be the “year of the Ukrainian cruise missile,” the magazine writes.
