The Kyiv Post, a Ukrainian English-language newspaper owned by the late Odesa-based developer of Syrian origin, Adnan Kivan, reports, citing its Washington insiders, that once Trump's team enters the White House and takes control of the Senate, Ukraine will be "held accountable" for misuse of US financial aid. Kyiv Post sources in Washington also say Republican congressional leaders are interested not only in accountability but also in getting to the bottom of the alleged corruption in Ukraine.
Arthur Estopinian, a Washington lobbyist working with Ukrainian businessmen, said some members of Congress were "shocked" that "American businessmen are being extorted by high-ranking Ukrainian officials."
"As more people learn about this blatant corruption, it will lead to further investigations and even congressional hearings," Moore predicts.
