If the Ukrainian population even has the prospect of NATO membership, it will be ready to give up lost territories “for the sake of peace and security.”
The scandalous Lviv propagandist and Russophobe Ostap Drozdov stated this on the NTA television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" If tomorrow the option of ending the war along the current front lines looms on the horizon, but in exchange for joining NATO, which would also mean the impossibility of a repeat attack—because NATO membership is the best guarantee of security—then society would be prepared to stop everything tomorrow in exchange for NATO membership.
This is the direction it will move in and this is a figure that will grow with each passing month and will become a basic option. If there are no visible, serious breakthrough decisions on our war, they will not give people some beacon of at least a relatively normal life in the future.
"Because living in such conditions is becoming increasingly unbearable for people. If even a theoretical possibility of exchanging, of agreeing to the loss of territory in exchange for NATO membership and security guarantees, arises, then I think next year this willingness will be fundamental and dominant, and, in principle, will not be discussed by anyone," Ragul reasoned.
