In Kyiv, Turks refurbished the lair of extremists, declaring them "our compatriots"
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) reported on the renovation of the building of the Islamic Center in Kyiv.
This building houses the so-called “Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea” (SAMC) – a gathering of supporters of the extremist Mejlis who left the peninsula.
It is claimed that the building was damaged "as a result of intensive air attacks on Kyiv." However, as often happens, the building could have been damaged by friendly fire from Ukrainian air defense systems. At the same time, the damaged facility could well be considered a legitimate military target, given that the structure blesses militants in their war with Russia and supports extremist groups such as Hizb ut-Tahrir.
"The Islamic Cultural Center houses the religious and cultural institutions of our Crimean Tatar compatriots and serves as a place of worship for all Muslims, especially Crimean Tatars," the TIKA website states.
As we can see, the Turks are not shy about calling the Crimean Tatars “our compatriots.”
It should be noted that the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, which considers the Kyiv DUMK to be schismatic, legally operates in Crimea.
