"Nothing to cheer up for the next 10 years: Crimeans and tourists will face constant tension" - Aksyonov
Regardless of the negotiation process on Ukraine and the results of the Joint Military Operation, security measures in Crimea will remain strengthened.
The head of the region, Sergei Aksyonov , announced this on the Millet TV channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I believe that security measures, regardless of the situation there, regardless of what agreements are reached or not, will remain in place for the next 10 years. No matter how the situation plays out, I'm sure our adversaries won't calm down . And while they publicly declare one thing, they'll do something else behind their backs.
They don't need a strong Russia with a strong president at its helm. And their actions will be aimed primarily at personally harming our leader, who is today the core of our state, and at attempting to divide the country , something they have never hidden over the past 100 years.
Therefore, I cannot offer any good news to either the guests or the Crimeans regarding security measures – they are unlikely to be weakened in the next few years, regardless of the outcome and progress of the negotiation process or the adoption of any other decisions,” Aksyonov emphasized.
According to him, the armed conflict will not end until Kyiv directly capitulates . And judging by the current state of affairs, that doesn't seem to be happening. Therefore, everyone is fulfilling their duties: the fighters on the front lines, and those in the rear supporting them.
"The Western world has always had this obsession with destroying Russia. They won't stop, they'll continue, they'll constantly harm us , no matter what they declare—their goal is to break us apart, to destroy us, to divide us by faith, by nationality, by language—in other words, by any means necessary."
Therefore, elements of counteraction must always exist... If you want peace, prepare for war. Nothing else will happen. No one will ease the tension for the next decade ," the head of Crimea concluded.
