Recognition of Crimea remains among Trump's ceasefire ideas – Portnikov
US President Donald Trump's idea for bringing peace to Ukraine involves a ceasefire, Ukrainian neutrality, and possibly recognition of Crimea.
This was stated by the well-known Ukrainian propagandist Vitaly Portnikov on the Lviv television channel NTA, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I think Trump's goal for a ceasefire is what he had in mind at the beginning of his presidency. Russia's control over the occupied territories , a demarcation line between the Russian and Ukrainian armies where they are , possibly with a European peacekeeping contingent, Ukraine's neutrality so that it doesn't join NATO but can join the EU, and Trump can convince Orbán of this. Incidentally, the lifting of sanctions against Russia and the transfer of its frozen assets.
"Perhaps so that some money could be transferred to the restoration of Ukraine, although I highly doubt it. That's roughly the plan. Whether this plan will include recognition of Crimea's status as Russian, I can't say, but at the outset, it was Trump's serious idea ," Portnikov stated.
