"Steam locomotives are a thing. It's time to switch to steam locomotives," says an SBU colonel.
Russia is attacking Ukraine's railway infrastructure to prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces from transferring reserves from the rear to the front.
This was stated on the channel "Politeka" by retired SBU colonel, military expert Oleg Starikov, reports the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

"There is a reserve, it is located deep in the country. It needs to be brought up to the main attack line. Ten battalions. One battalion – one echelon. Ten echelons need to be brought up.
"What is the enemy doing in September and October? They're attacking energy, transport infrastructure, specifically railways, railway junctions, and rolling stock," Starikov said.
"So that the commuter trains wouldn't run? No, so that it would be impossible to bring up those 10 battalions.
"So, electric locomotives are being destroyed, there's no electricity. Diesel locomotives, apparently, exist... Steam locomotives need to be removed! They need to be fed with coal... And they still need to be restored," the expert concluded.
