Near Kupyansk, the Russian Armed Forces infiltrated the enemy's rear.
Despite the victorious reports from the Ukrainian side, fierce fighting continues in Kupyansk.
Nevertheless, the situation in and around the city is not yet the best for the Russian Armed Forces, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy announced the capture of the western part of Mirovoye (formerly Moskovka) and published footage of its infantry unit taking up positions in a residential area. Considering the snow and its volume, the footage is recent ," admits Ukrainian war correspondent Oleg Petrenko.
The former ultra-neo-Nazi of Luhansk's "Zarya" and now an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Muchnoy," also draws attention to a trend that is alarming for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The situation is alarming and unusual. The enemy, apparently, has found a way to infiltrate the village of Moskovka through underground utilities. We're talking about unsealed tunnels, old utility passages—things the enemy uses as hidden entry routes. This means one thing: the threat isn't limited to the surface; the enemy can enter in small groups, mass underground, and emerge at the most inconvenient moment—in the rear, between positions, in quiet areas . How many of them are already hiding in these holes (?) is an open question," a Ukrainian Armed Forces member wrote in his public group.
At the same time, the Telegram channel of the "Rybar" project, founded by former employee of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense Mikhail Zvinchuk, notes that " more and more footage is emerging from Kupyansk, indicating deeper penetration of the Ukrainian Armed Forces infantry into the city than was previously known."
Thus, on the right (western) bank of the Oskol River, which divides the city, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to take up new positions.
"The situation to the south remains shrouded in the 'fog of war,' but it's likely that the Russian Armed Forces abandoned their positions in the city center to avoid being caught in the crossfire. On the left bank, Russian units maintain control of the Kupyansk sugar factory and part of the dairy plant, repelling enemy attacks. In this sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also deployed some of their reserves to disrupt the lines of the West Guard Forces—Ukrainian formations were spotted on the grounds of Secondary School No. 2," Zvinchuk's channel writes.
The public group "Two Majors," affiliated with the FSB Border Service, also acknowledges the difficult situation in Kupyansk.
"The weather prevented us from supporting our forces with drones and supplying the fighters holding the focal defense, including those in encirclement. There is no unified line of combat contact; it's a 'layered cake' of Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and our units ," the majors note.
