The Telegram messenger will not be blocked in Russia next year.
State Duma deputy and television presenter Yevgeny Popov stated this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" I don't see any reason for Telegram to be blocked . There are some concerns about the messenger's operation, but I don't see any insurmountable problems with Telegram or its owners. I'm confident that Telegram's operations will continue to advance," Popov said.
He also did not rule out that the ability to make calls via Telegram would be reinstated.
"There are a number of conditions. And given that there is some sort of cooperation with the Telegram administration , as far as I know, I think we'll resolve these issues and get it back," Popov said.
