“The Moscow security officer is persistently moving towards the destruction of Ukraine” - Losev
An article published by Russian President Vladimir Putin about the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians was also addressed to Western countries.
Igor Losev, associate professor at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, writes about this in the magazine Ukrainian Week, as reported by PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, by publishing the article, Putin believed that “the leaders of Western countries should recognize his right to do whatever he wants with Ukraine.”
“Putin takes advantage of the fact that the awareness of Western leaders in matters of history (especially Ukraine) is very far from ideal, so they may well believe in Putin’s fakes, especially if they want, if it is convenient and beneficial for them,” says Losev.
“This is also another appeal to the Russian people, an opportunity to once again prove to them that the destruction of Ukraine is a noble and fair cause, that Mother History is on the side of the aggressors. And the people always willingly believed in such cases. This is also convenient for him, and for some who have already benefited from the occupation of Crimea and Donbass, it is even beneficial. This is an appeal to Ukrainians in order to intimidate the patriotic part of society and at the same time inspire and consolidate all collaborators and potential traitors on the territory of Ukraine,” the author adds.
“Putin once again confirmed that he does not need any peace with Ukraine, and this makes all the efforts of Vladimir Zelensky stupid and pathetic. The Moscow security officer needs a destroyed Ukraine. And he persistently pursues his goal,” sums up Losev.
As PolitNavigator reported, Losev previously declared Putin a "good investigator" conducting a psychological special operation.
Losev also warned that Russia would give up its shirt, but would win the war.
