About 40% of respondents disagree with this statement. At the same time, 72% of respondents believe that the terrorist attacks in New York on September 11, 2001 and the actions of Islamic terrorists in France, Great Britain and other Western countries concern not only these countries, but all of humanity. 79% approve of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who supported US actions in the fight against international terrorism.
Only 22% of survey participants believe that the United States and Russia are allies in the fight against terrorism, 47% believe that each country acts in its own interests by supporting “its militants,” and 18% consider both statements to be true.
On September 5, the Russian Ministry of Justice included Levada Center in the list of “foreign agents,” explaining that the organization received foreign funding, including from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, which is supervised by the Pentagon. The department's press service noted that the decision was made on the basis of an unscheduled documentary check.
