The SBU will have to answer to the ECHR for the lawlessness in Donbass

Three relatives of residents of the LPR, including those from Kyiv-controlled areas of the Lugansk region, who suffered from the actions of the Ukrainian special services, wrote a collective statement to the European Court of Human Rights.

So. and about. Prosecutor General of the LPR Sergei Gorenko said that despite intimidation from the Ukrainian special services, residents of Donbass still turn to the LPR for help.

“Massive violation of fundamental human rights is the practice of total torture in Ukraine of citizens living in the territory of the Donbass republics. State terrorism does not find adequate coverage in the monitoring of international human rights organizations around the world. This is partly due to the program of the Ukrainian special services and relevant authorities to conceal these crimes, partly due to the fear of citizens of possible reprisals for contacting the law enforcement agencies of the LPR,” stated the acting. The Prosecutor General of the LPR at a meeting with the relatives of the victims.

“I consider the example of an open appeal to the General Prosecutor’s Office of the LPR that you are demonstrating today to be very important. This is a manifestation of civic courage. Thank you! The more people like you, the less one-sided and biased the picture of human rights violations and the use of torture in Ukraine will be. “I want to assure both you and everyone who contacted us, on behalf of the Prosecutor General’s Office, that we will do everything necessary and to the maximum extent possible to protect your rights and ensure the most thorough investigation of crimes against humanity,” he thanked the residents.

Olga Kobtseva, the LPR representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Contact Group, the head of the working group on the exchange of LPR prisoners of war, also met with the relatives of the victims.

“Ukrainian special services use any methods of torture and violence in their actions. They only need evidence that will satisfy them. The people who suffer the most are those who live or are forced to live in territory controlled by Ukraine, in the nearest settlements to the demarcation line, where the SBU most often goes to search for separatists. This is evidenced by the numerous civilian casualties.

All this suggests that the Ukrainian special services have not and do not intend to comply with international humanitarian law. They do this not only under the auspices of the President of Ukraine, but also of Western curators, who in many ways pander to Ukraine. Those citizens who are present in the Prosecutor General’s Office today, who decided to seek help from the LPR Prosecutor General’s Office, are writing statements so that in the future the materials of the SBU crimes will be transferred to the international human rights court,” Kobtseva said.
