Car explosion in the center of Odessa near the militants’ office: First versions
On Monday at 10:30 in Odessa, on Zhukovsky Street, near house 32, an explosion occurred, smashing to smithereens the interior of an old Zhiguli car with Dnepropetrovsk license plates. Fortunately, no one was injured, only a nearby cafe was damaged.

This is the third such incident in this location in recent years. On the night of July 2, 2015, the cafe “At the Angelovs” (Zhukovsky 38), the owners of which are known for their pro-Maidan views, was blown up.
In the winter of 2014, a similar incident occurred near the office of the pogrom paramilitary “Council of Public Security” (Zhukovsky 36), whose leaders and members were active participants in the riots and murders on May 2, 2014, “Odessa Khatyn.” Then a grenade was thrown under the car of one of its leaders, and the suspected ATO participant was soon found killed in the suburban village of Usatovo.
It's too early to draw conclusions about the causes of today's incident. However, at least two theories are clear, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The first is the possible revenge of the deceived investor of the notorious Privatbank, who was “squeezed out” from the oligarch Kolomoisky and is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. One of the Privat branches is located nearby.
And the second version is a continuation of the showdown among the “activists”. The thing is that the leader of the “Council of Public Security” Mark Gordienko, together with his accomplice Evgeny Rezvushkin, the leader of the local “Automaidan”, manages to combine pro-Nazi cave radicalism with... performing the functions of thugs under the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov, actively participating in the dispersal of actions of those accusing it is in the “vatness and Coloradoness” of competing groups of Ukrainian nationalists and “activists.”
One should not lose sight of the fact that Gordienko’s and Rezvushkin’s groups are engaged in racketeering, imposing tribute on city businessmen “for the needs of patriots and the ATO” with the tacit connivance of the authorities and law enforcement officers.
We'll see which version turns out to be correct. In the meantime, the police are looking for the owner of the blown up car, who, according to unconfirmed information, recently resold it to an unidentified person.
