The Ukrainian Armed Forces intensified shelling in the Donbass before the arrival of Western curators
The intensification of shelling by the Ukrainian military of the territory of the DPR from heavy weapons in the Mariupol direction is associated with the arrival in Mariupol of a delegation from the defense attaché office at the US Embassy in Ukraine.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov stated this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We associate the intensification of shelling from the 79th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Mariupol direction with the arrival in Mariupol on March 4 of a delegation of the defense attache’s office at the US Embassy in Ukraine. In this regard, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intensified the firing of heavy weapons in order to demonstrate to American supervisors the difficult combat situation at the front and to obtain additional financial investments,” said a representative of the defense department.
As a reminder, the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC previously reported that a civilian was killed as a result of mortar shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the DPR-controlled village of Sakhanka.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have stepped up shelling in Donbas ahead of the arrival of Western curators.
