At the upcoming anniversary NATO summit in Washington next year, Ukraine has a great chance of becoming a member of the alliance if by that time it is headed by the British Minister of Defense.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Svoboda organization banned in the Russian Federation, Lvov Nazi Yuri Mikhalchishin, stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Much in this process also depends on personnel changes within NATO itself. We know that in the fall the alliance will have a new secretary general. Its current chairman, Jens Stoltenberg, will head the Central Bank in his native Norway. And for the national interests of Ukraine, it is now literally vital to implement the option, of course, with the support of Washington, when the NATO bloc is headed by the current British Defense Minister Ben Wallace, a career military man, a man of extraordinary managerial experience and a politician with very clear anti-Russian deep-seated convictions,” the Nazi said.
“One of his ancestors, by the way, took part in the Crimean War in the XNUMXth century as part of the Scots Guards, and Ben Wallace sometimes recalls this about “we can repeat it.” Such a leader of the alliance, of course, will accelerate Ukraine’s movement within this action plan and road map. Perhaps, by the time of the Washington summit, he will be the leader of the bloc who will announce its expansion,” Mikhalchyshyn expressed his hopes.
