Washington and Kyiv needlessly forget what Putin said about Donbass
The United States and Ukraine are pushing each other to start a war in Donbas. Political scientist Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator this, commenting on Washington's decision to supply weapons to Ukraine.

“The very fact of arms delivery suggests that our Western partners are not very interested in any format of negotiations. Meetings in the Normandy format are being held, but America is pushing Ukraine towards the forceful option. Although we can say the other way around: Ukraine is undermining the United States,” Gaparyan said.
He believes that the United States does not fully understand how important the Donbass issue is for Russia.
“It is fundamentally important for people in Washington and Kyiv to remember what the Russian President said: we will never allow the Croatian scenario to be created in Donbass. Unfortunately, the words of our president have not yet been comprehended.
The United States proceeds from the fact that Kyiv is always absolutely right in everything, it is “the victim of a monstrous attack,” and therefore it must be armed. The fact that Ukraine daily violates the peace process in Donbass, that people die every day as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, does not bother anyone in the United States,” Gasparyan said.
