A mortar exploded during a shooting in the ATO zone: there were casualties among Ukrainian military and civilians
Mariupol, January 30 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Ukrainian soldiers of military unit No. 3057 from Mariupol accidentally exploded a 120-mm mortar while firing.

The explosion killed a conscript soldier and wounded five service members, UNN reports , citing law enforcement officials.
In addition, one civilian was also killed and another was injured.
Investigators of the military prosecutor's office of the Southern region of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the rules for handling weapons, as well as ammunition, resulting in the death of several persons). Those found guilty in a tragic case face imprisonment from 3 to 12 years.
According to the publication "0629" , active training exercises are currently underway near Mariupol, which can be heard throughout the city.
As PolitNavigator reported, in December, a volunteer was killed at the Yavoriv training ground in the Lviv region when a drone carrying a mine exploded.
