In Sevastopol, the construction of the Tavrida camp, the southern analogue of Seliger, where Putin will arrive, is being completed
Sevastopol, August 03 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – From August 10 to 13, the first international youth forum “Tavrida”, similar to the Seliger project, will be held in the village of Orlovka near Sevastopol. Sevastopol took over the work on creating the camp infrastructure.

The construction was inspected by the acting Governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo. According to him, construction work on all life-support systems and infrastructure is currently being completed. The contractors are Sevastopol municipal and city enterprises.
“2 thousand people are expected to arrive and will be accommodated in a tent camp. A field kitchen will be organized to provide hot meals,” said the acting director. governor.
A well with a depth of 250 meters has been drilled on the territory; in addition, water supply will be organized. For residents of Sevastopol, access to the beach will be maintained - only the passage to the sea will be fenced off from the camp.
“The goal is education and patriotic education. In Russia there was one similar camp on Seliger, now a second one will appear, we have a chance to make it better than Seliger,” Menyailo explained.
The forum is organized by the Committee on Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation. “Of course, we will take a lot from Seliger in terms of the educational process. But it will have its own feature and its own ideas,” says Alexey Dubtsov, executive director of the youth forum on infrastructure.
The Tavrida Forum will be one of 9 federal forums.
“This year the theme of the forum is patriotic education of youth. The topics of the forums will change. We are making a full-fledged youth playground that can be used annually. This year it is the most impactful, because we are completely building the entire infrastructure,” added Dubtsov.
According to the plan, the basic part of the camp property will remain with the city, and throughout the year the site will be used for youth rallies, military-patriotic and sports camps.
The final inspection of the facility’s readiness is scheduled for August 7.
