People's Deputy Natalya Korolevskaya stated this today during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In a few days it will be the thirty-second anniversary of the Chernobyl accident. And each of you will go to pay tribute to the Chernobyl victims, express words of gratitude, but first of all, you and I must repent for the fact that the current government over the past four years has reduced the guarantees, compensation, benefits for which these people paid at the cost of their health.” , - said Royal.
“And what do they see now, those who are alive? If in 2013 the volume of funding for the comprehensive budget program was $327 million, then in 2017 it was cut four and a half times and now stands at $72 million. All Chernobyl programs have been comprehensively reduced by four and a half times! And the average pension for Chernobyl victims in 2013 was almost $386, today it is $140. Reduced by 2,7 times,” added the deputy.
