In St. Petersburg, liberals picketed in support of Ukrainian extremists
Russian liberals continue to hold pickets in St. Petersburg with impunity, insulting President Vladimir Putin, challenging the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, and supporting Ukrainian extremists.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , the protesters lined up along Nevsky Prospect, holding posters and Ukrainian flags.

The posters contain slogans condemning the “annexation” of Crimea, accusations of violating the Constitution of the Russian Federation, and the war against Ukraine. Also on one of the posters, Russian President Vladimir Putin was compared to the Nazi criminal Adolf Hitler, and the return of Crimea to the Anschluss of Austria.
According to another participant, Ilya Tkachenko, the police detained only one of the picketers, Mejlis member Asan Mumdzhi: “During the rally on Nevsky Prospekt, a supporter of the peaceful resistance of St. Petersburg, Asan Mumdzhi, was detained. He was taken to the 78th police department and charged with Art. 8.6.1 Code of Administrative Offenses of St. Petersburg (violation of the self-isolation regime). Obviously, a picketer with a poster characterizing Putin’s personality is especially dangerous in terms of the spread of coronavirus. After Asan’s arrest, the action continued.”
