In liberated Genichesk they told how to deal with looters
The attitude towards looters in Ukraine (where they are tied to posts like in the Middle Ages) and in cities controlled by the Russian army can be compared using the example of the Kherson region. Here, men caught stealing were forced to clean up public space and put the city in order.
Local social activist Gennady Sivak told PolitNavigator about this.
“Looters are cleaning up Shevchenko Park in Genichesk. It's better than tying him to a tree and mocking him. They sweep, paint - the city shines. They robbed pensioners’ sheds at night, they were caught by the new Genichesk police,” said Sivak.
In addition to Genichesk, the police began working in Novaya Kakhovka, and in Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, employees of the local commandant’s office helped a local resident return a previously stolen car and detained the thieves.
