A huge queue lined up to see the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Moscow

The line to see the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker has lined up in Moscow since early morning, although access to them will be open from 14:00 Moscow time. The queue stretched for two kilometers from the Cathedral of Christ the Savior to the Crimean Bridge. The organizers are ready, if necessary, to extend it to the Frunzenskaya or Vorobyovy Gory metro stations.

There are now three checkpoints in line. There are no special passes. All believers, some of whom came from remote cities in Russia, are equal in rights. Preferential passage is organized only for disabled people.

The relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker will stay in Moscow until July 12, and then will be transported to St. Petersburg, where they will stay until July 28.

The ark with the relics was delivered to Moscow from Italy yesterday on a special flight. They were solemnly greeted by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
