Despite the introduction of an energy blockade of the LPR, the republic, as part of the humanitarian program for the reunification of the people of Donbass, will, on the contrary, continue to supply electricity from its territory to the north of the Luhansk region, controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

Political scientist Armen Gasparyan reported this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
“The cessation of electricity supply to the LPR indicates that Ukraine will continue to block Donbass with all its might. They never denied that they would go all the way and at the first opportunity they would try to leave the Minsk format. This is exactly what the Rada is calling for. But, first of all, they want to put psychological pressure on the leadership of the LDPR. Another story is fundamentally important here: the leaders of the LPR, in particular Plotnitsky, said that they would maintain the supply of electricity even to those points that are now under the control of the Kyiv authorities,” the expert noted.
“In essence, we are talking about moving the humanitarian program to support the people of Donbass to a new stage. This causes a huge number of image losses for Kyiv. This shows who actually cares about the people, and who is trying to prolong the agony by committing further war crimes. Let me remind you that the very term “blockade” appears in the Nuremberg Tribunal,” Gasparyan recalled.
