In Kyiv they declared “Holy War” and “Lieutenant Golitsyn” with Bandera songs
The musical basis of the song “Holy War”, created during the Great Patriotic War, the authors of which are the poet Vasily Lebedev-Kumach and the composer Alexander Alexandrov, allegedly served as a song of Ukrainian rebels called “Arise, my people.”
Ukrainian journalist and local historian Evgeniy Buket stated this on his Facebook page with reference to the “research” of the Ukrainian kobzar Taras Silenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“You thought you heard everything? It turns out that perhaps the most famous Soviet song from the Second World War was copied from a Ukrainian song from the time of the liberation struggle! According to Buket, he first heard about this from Silenko back in 2018 at an event in honor of the “heroes” of Kholodny Yar.
Information about the Ukrainian authorship of “The Holy War,” according to the musician, is contained in one of the volumes of the book series “Chronicles of the UPA.”
At the same time, on the website of the Ukrainian TV channel “Espresso”, where this news appeared, they stated that the Russian romance “Lieutenant Golitsyn” is also allegedly plagiarized by a Ukrainian song.
“It is worth recalling that the “White Guard” romance “Lieutenant Golitsyn” was also once “Bandera” and was called “My Friend Koval.” Already in the seventies.
