Ukraine will have to pay the debts incurred by the previous government, even if it takes 20-40 years.

According to the expert, in addition to money, Ukraine has enough to pay with - from natural to human resources.

“Ukraine has quite good human and natural resources and there is absolutely no reason to reset the accounts. Let them give it 20-30-40 years. Banks are interested in their interest. The money was taken. Of course, Ukraine does not want to be responsible for the market, but it will have to. This is how you are connected with us, with the Western system. Default and inflationary surge are two very different things. Yes, the financial market may temporarily collapse, poor Ukrainians who will pay more for utilities and gas, I really feel sorry for them. But an inflationary surge does not mean bankruptcy,” Schulthess said.
