A propaganda video featuring a captured DPR army soldier, filmed by Ukrainian media, is provocative and fake.
The official representative of the DPR defense department, Colonel Eduard Basurin, spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He emphasized that recently, reconnaissance groups of enemy special operations forces have become significantly more active on the line of combat contact, especially in the Mariupol and Gorlovka directions.
“The purpose of these actions is to obtain intelligence data on the composition and position of our troops, which once again confirms the enemy’s intentions to resume large-scale hostilities in the Donbass,” Basurin said.
He clarified that the special forces of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, through recruited citizens, carried out an action, as a result of which one of the servicemen of the DPR Armed Forces, Soloid Igor Viktorovich, was captured. To kidnap a serviceman, the DRG forces used a female agent, as well as psychotropic substances.
“After influencing and interrogating him by Ukrainian intelligence officers, Soloid was handed over to propagandists from the 72nd Center for Information and Psychological Operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The soldier captured by deception is used to disseminate through the controlled Ukrainian media disinformation prepared for this purpose and false accusations of the DPR Armed Forces and the leadership of the republic,” Basurin said.

“Servicemen of a separate mechanized brigade, who carry out combat missions in the Luhansk direction, prevented an attempt by a militant of an illegal armed group to enter Ukrainian-controlled territory. Thanks to the professional and competent actions of the Ukrainian defenders, he was captured. He had with him an AK-74N weapon and a military ID in the name of Soloid Igor Viktorovich, issued by the Russian occupation administration.
