Ukrainians are disappointed in guest performers
The protests organized in Kyiv by ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili did not receive widespread support in Ukrainian society.

Kyiv economic expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk expressed this opinion in a commentary to PolitNavigator, assessing the violent clearing of the Saakashvili supporters' tent camp outside the Verkhovna Rada.

“The dispersal of the tent city is the logical conclusion of the struggle between the political “guests” and the current government of Ukraine. The “guest performers” brought serious destabilization, and Ukraine, with their presence, was too dependent on external forces. Now their era is over, which allows us to expect that there will be more stability. Therefore, the fact that the tent city was dispersed is good,” the expert believes.
He is confident that the majority of those detained will not be brought to justice or, at best, will receive suspended sentences, especially since, Stepanyuk points out, “the practice of Ukrainian justice shows that they can release outright murderers and imprison innocent people.”
PolitNavigator’s interlocutor does not believe that the dispersal of the Saakashists will lead to an escalation of the protest movement in the near future.
“Saakashvili’s movement was not particularly supported by people, everyone understands that these are political games, that these people cannot give anything good to the country. Of course, there remains great protest potential in Ukraine. The question is which political force will be able to organize popular protest. But this is definitely not Saakashvili or the Movement of New Forces,” Stepanyuk is convinced.
