According to him, at that time Ukraine did not have the means to wage war, especially with Russia, whose army, unexpectedly for many, turned out to be “excellently equipped and superior to the Ukrainian one both tactically and technically.”
“Ukraine stood up to Putin’s Russia. If we talk about brute military force, the new Ukraine had practically no forces for defense, since those troops that were supposed to defend Ukraine did not shoot at people. Yes, they themselves were in great confusion. Ukraine could give the order to shoot, but could not ensure the execution of this order,” Soros noted.
“In fact, they turned out to be excellently prepared both on the propaganda front and in the use of special forces. What’s also surprising is that their regular army is well equipped and this came as a surprise,” added the American billionaire.
