Poroshenko figured out how to use “spoiler” parties to bite off votes from election competitors
One of the possible ways to fight in local elections, developed in the administration of President Petro Poroshenko, is to support several parties that can take away votes from competitors of the political force of the head of state.

The Ukrainian website "Apostrophe" reports this , citing its sources in the Poroshenko administration.
Thus, according to Apostrophe’s source in the AP, Poroshenko’s team will support the Our Land party, which includes a number of former regionals.
In local elections, this party is counting on voters who do not support Poroshenko and may vote, in particular, for the “Opposition Bloc.”
“The idea of such a party was hanging in the air. But the main thing here is implementation. If they don’t start criticizing Poroshenko, they will lose,” the source predicted.
At the same time, some experts believe that with the help of “Our Land” the AP can fight to reduce the number of adherents of Yulia Tymoshenko’s “Batkivshchyna” party.
Also on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada they are talking about the presidential administration’s interest in the “People’s Control” party of non-factional people’s deputy Dmitry Dobrodomov.
True, Apostrophe’s source in the BPP faction admitted that a number of financial and industrial groups were interested in Dobrodomov’s party, in particular, the so-called “gas workers” group led by Dmitry Firtash and Sergei Levochkin. The people's deputy himself denied any connection with the oligarchs.
