They complain to Lukashenko: We come to Bandera with all our hearts, but they stab us in the back
Alexander Lukashenko “groomed and cherished” Ukraine even after allied Russia imposed economic sanctions against it. However, Kyiv responded with a treacherous stab in the back.
Political scientist Alexey Dzermant, considered close to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"I love Ukrainians and the Ukrainian people; I consider them a brotherly nation. But what you did to yourselves, I don't want to see repeated in my country. And when there's an attack, including from Ukraine, a diplomatic one, these clownish antics. Lukashenko treated him ( Zelensky – ed. ) as a human being, tried to build a relationship with him, and what happened? It's the same old story: a treacherous stab in the back from the Ukrainians whom Lukashenko had pampered and cherished," Dzermant said.
He assures that Lukashenko, who recently defiantly invited the leadership of the State Department to Minsk during a dispute with Moscow over oil prices, will now not turn to the West for help in the conflict with the Maidan protesters.
“It is quite obvious that all we hear from the Western side is vile hypocrisy. So, Barrel says - I want to come to Belarus, help the Belarusian people understand the election results and open a new era in the history of the country. Has anyone asked the OSCE or the EU to intervene? Are we some kind of little children, Belarusians, do we need to be led by the hand so that we can resolve our internal issues? Of course not. We have seen perfectly well how this all works in Ukraine - it is necessary for a Western mediator to intervene, to lead the opposition by the hand, to bring it to the negotiating table,” Dzermant noted.
