Tyagnibokites trample Mariinsky Park, damaged by Mikhomaidan
Kyiv's municipal services have begun restoring the section of Mariinsky Park adjacent to Constitution Square, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
After Mikhomaidan, the ground was completely trampled, all the grass was destroyed, many bushes were broken. Now utility workers are trying to eliminate the consequences of the existence of a tent city of Saakashvili supporters. The waste left over from the town is raked into heaps, holes are dug for planting new bushes, and the ground is loosened to be sown with grass. There are signs along the paths asking people not to walk on the lawns.
“Large-scale work was carried out to eliminate the consequences of mass events and bring the territory of the Mariinsky Park to proper condition. We encourage you to appreciate hard work and stay out of the green zone!” - it is written on the signs.
Nevertheless, they continue to walk on the ground - this time the participants of the rally of VO "Freedom". Utility workers persuade the protesters not to trample the land prepared for reclamation, but many activists do not listen to them and go to the rally through the green zone.
Tyahnybokites are finishing off the Mariinsky Park, which suffered during the Mikhomaidan protests.
