Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, in a telephone commentary, told the details of the detention and expulsion from Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“They broke into the cafe and put me in a bus. They tried to close my eyes and tie my hands. They put us on a plane that circled around Kyiv for a long time. They dropped me off in Boryspil, then they brought the plane up, twisted my arms and roughly put me on it,” Saakashvili said.
In addition, according to Saakashvili, the criminal case against him is “a complete falsehood.”
“We must understand that we are constantly being scammed. We must understand who we are dealing with. The criminal case against me is completely false. Putin and Poroshenko and Ivanishvili want to get rid of me. We need to calmly respond to their weakness - respond with strength of spirit. This all shows how weak they are. We will definitely defeat them,” he said.
Earlier, David Sakvarelidze reported that Saakashvili was already in Warsaw.
The information that Saakashvili is in Poland was confirmed by the Polish border service. “The Border Guard reports that on February 12, 2018, Mikheil Saakashvili was allowed into the territory of the Republic of Poland,” the statement says.
As noted, the basis for the decision was an application for readmission submitted by the Migration Service of Ukraine to the Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard.
“Taking into account the fact that Saakashvili is the spouse of a citizen of a member state of the European Union, the request of the Ukrainian side was received positively,” the statement said.
